Oh the glorious sunny days

The weather has been fabulous…I love cold sunny days, they are simply the best.

Took Sammy and Jake to Bridgeman Park on the North Shore. From Vancouver take the #1 north and exit Mountain HWY, turn left at stop sign and another left and the lights. Stay to the right and you will see the sign for Bridgeman park. I would suggest getting there early on the weekdays and it’s really busy on the weekend but so worth it. The trail starts off from the parking lot. Once you’re under the bridge, it’s pretty safe to take you dog off the lead. The trail soon opens up to a large run space where you can find most dogs chasing balls, each other or just watching the fun times go by them. The trail continues on, where you will come upon a fork in the road. Turn right and go over the bridge (no cars) or you can go left and walk through the forest. If you choose to go over the bridge, there is a wide trail that follows the river. The trail is high above the water line, so if you decide to walk along the rocky waters edge, you will likely come upon a Memorial for Dogs, that is situated about (best guess) a 100 yards from the Bridge.

The picturesque trail can be as short as 1/2 an hour or as long as you want. Enjoy meeting new people and dogs in such a beautiful surrounding.

**Please make note of any warning signs of Coyotes, Bear and Cougars. It’s best to keep you dog close to you if and when you do see these signs.
